$1.1 MILLION SETTLEMENT – DANGEROUS LEVEE ROAD

A 30 year old Oakland restaurant owner riding as a passenger at night in a Porsche car on Brannan Island Road in the Delta area of Sacramento County was killed when the car failed to negotiate a curve and went off the raised levee road. We contended that the road was in a dangerous condition for failure to install guardrails, failure to warn of the curve and lack of super-elevation in the curve. The car was operated by a well known Oakland Raiders football player. We represented the wife and children of the deceased restaurant owner.
