$1 MILLION SETTLEMENT – BIG RIG DRIVER CAUSES DEATH IN FOG IN CENTRAL VALLEY
We represented the parents of a 33 year old man in a wrongful death case caused by a collision with a Peterbilt semi truck in Lathrop, California. The big rig truck ran a stop sign in the fog and collided with the automobile the decedent was driving. The decedent had no children, was not living with a wife that he never divorced and did not support his parents. Although the parents lived out of state and had little physical contact with their adult son, we were able to prove the continuing love and affection they had for their son and negotiated a satisfactory settlement for his parents for $865,000. The wife, who had not lived with the decedent for several years, received $135,000.
